Mid Term ReflectionI have learned many techniques during these first six weeks. I have gone into deeper understanding on how to annotate and reverse outline. A totally new technique that I learned and helped me a lot is database research. Before taking this class I was always using google to do all my research on any questions that I have.

Google is a really good tool but it is not that much resource and also some of the results on there turns out not to be the most reliable ones. Now with learning how to use database research I have used it to finish research homework in this class and also I have been using it to research on other questions that I have outside of school such as news, historical events, and journals. I found out it was more reliable and much more resourceful than to just search it from google so this would be beneficial to me in any other classes and outside of college.

We are doing more research everyday than you think you are, so it is very important that you get your information from a reliable source. Another very important one that I learned is knowing how to interview others. I didn’t have much idea about how to interview others before this class, I thought it was simply making questions for others to answer.

In this class our big project is requiring us to interview others which is a very good start for us. We have covered making questions for interviewers that are open answers instead of the questions that the interviewer can answer with yes or no. I have improved on making questions that can lead the conversation going to make others tell a story or opinion of their own insteadof me keep asking questions and for interviewers to just simply answer my questions.
